This one-day workshop, Sampling from a Target Distribution, aims to bring together researchers working on Monte Carlo methods and variational inference. The event will foster discussions on recent advances in sampling algorithms, theoretical guarantees, and practical implementations. By bridging perspectives from both stochastic and deterministic approaches to inference, the workshop seeks to highlight connections and contrasts between MCMC and variational methods.
The program will feature invited talks, short presentations, and open discussions to encourage exchange and collaboration among participants.
This event is part of the project Hi!Pomm, funded by Hi!Paris.
The registration is free of charge. Nevertheless, please, register since the amphitheatre has a limited number of seats (55 seats). Registration will also help to adequately organize coffee breaks.
Lunch registration
Lecture hall 6 has a capacity of 55 participants, but we will only be able to provide 22 meals. For those who wish to register for the meal, please follow the link below.
